💡 The internet abounds with quotes about dimming your light. And we have no problem describing women as lights. 

“Don’t dim your light to make others feel comfortable.”

“Let nothing dim your light.” 

“Don’t let someone dim your light just because it’s shining in their eyes.”

“Be the light!”  

“Be a light to the world!”

😳 Okay, ladies, you have to shine bright, don’t dare go dim, and be the light for everyone else too. 

Here’s my hot take on this situation: 

⚡️You aren’t the light. You are the electricity. 

Electricity, like all forms of energy, can be life giving, or extremely dangerous. It depends on how you treat them. 

If you neglect the physical components that electricity needs to function properly, it may shut off, or it might just burn the whole building down. 

But when respected and cared for properly, electricity can power not only the light, but the house, the town, the state, the country, the world. 

If you look up the definition of electricity it says it’s a form of energy, which we know. 

But the second definition of electricity is a state of thrilling excitement. 

That’s your natural state, a state of thrilling excitement. 

You might not be able to feel it because you need to upgrade your wiring, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re electric, baby.
