Kindhearted Badass Core Values.

When Jenine was here a couple weeks ago, we sat at St Louis Bread Company (don’t call it Panera … ) and brainstormed.

Brainstorming is one of my favorite things to do. Throwing everything that pops into your mind out into a collective pile and seeing what is birthed from it is SO FUN. I love working with other people. I’m not good at doing any parts of my life solo. I need other humans.

One of the things that ended up being born that morning was our core values as a brand. We’ve had a really hard time solidifying this up until now. But it became very clear during that session what’s really important to us.

When it comes down to it, the most important thing to us is community. We love our peeps, and our peeps love us and each other just as much. The Kindhearted Badass Crew is fierce. We take care of each other. We show up for each other. Everyone contributes. We have THE BEST community there is. (I’m biased, but not wrong 🤣.)

We already knew that though. We knew that community tops the list of priorities in our life and business. But we needed to clarify the kind of people we want to join our Crew, because it’s not for everyone. And we’re good with that.

Where we landed is that Kindhearted Badasses:

❤️ Believe in the importance of community. We are biologically built to do life with other humans. #science

💛 Own our shit. We don’t waste time blaming our parents for the way we grew up, or our boss for how much money we make. We take responsibility for all aspects of our lives and work to improve the areas we aren’t happy with.

💚 Are authentic. We are brave enough to be ourselves. We not only accept who we are, we embrace it. We lean into it. Flaunt it.

💙 Are persistent. We don’t believe the “consistency is key” line that’s been fed to us ad nauseam. Life is unpredictable, you’re gonna get knocked off track. As long as you get back at it, whatever “it” is, you’re doing amazing. Persistence is where it’s at for us. Take as many breaks as you need, for as long as you need, just don’t quit.

💜 Embrace imperfection. We know we are going to F up more often than we don’t. That’s how you learn. Kindhearted Badasses know that imperfection is an asset.

🧡 Know that investing in ourselves is the first step in being able to care for others, so we do that. We invest our time, money, and energy into ourselves. Whether that’s chasing a dream, buying a course, or going to therapy. We INVEST.

Kindhearted Badasses believe in the power of community, own our shit, are real, are persistent, embrace imperfection, and invest in ourselves. And we use those core values to build lives we love.
